BEAUTY OBSESSION: SALLY HANSEN AIRBRUSH LEGS

I had a huge shoot recently for something really exciting. (Can’t wait to show you guys what its for!). I have been working really hard preparing for it and wanted to feel my best. I discovered the Priv app where you can book beauty services straight to your door which is super convenient for me because I hate driving around to a million appointments on the day of a photoshoot.

I wanted to have a tan and glowy look for my shoot, so decided to try out the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs spray to give me an even golden glow. I booked someone to come to my house and airbrush my legs with the new Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs spray. I am obsessed with this product. It covers any imperfections such as bruises, veins, cellulite, scars, etc. and gives you a natural golden tan. It’s not sticky or thick either- it’s light and dries quickly leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. It’s been hard to find body makeup products that match my exact skin tone, and many of them end up looking streaky and uneven on my skin. This product was the perfect color for my skin tone and super easy to apply.

I highly recommend this product. It makes you feel great and confident in swimsuits, and came out perfectly in time for summer!

Can’t wait to share the final images of my photoshoot so you can see the finished product 🙂 If you end up getting it let me know how you like it, would love your feedback.

xx

AUSTRALIA

I packed my bags for a 3 week trip out the country. First stop —> Australia.

Australia had been on the top of my bucket list for a long time. One of my closest friends moved to Sydney for a few months for work, and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to visit. She finished her 3-month job when I came to visit, and from Sydney we both traveled to Bali together. I only stayed in Australia for 5 days, which wasn’t enough time, but had a great experience nonetheless. It is such a huge continent with so much beauty and places to see. I definitely want to go back and spend more time and visit other cities. I stayed in Sydney but flew to Cairns for a night to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef for a day which was an experience of a lifetime and I highly recommend it. My friend and I took a private helicopter ride over the reef and landed on a small platform in the middle of the ocean to snorkel off a boat. The helicopter ride was one of the most breathtaking moments of my life. Seeing the Great Barrier Reef from above is truly incredible. I am obsessed with underwater life and love the ocean. I swear I was a mermaid in my past life. I’ve snorkeled all over the world and I have never seen coral and colors like I did there. It almost looked fake. I kept thinking that the coral looked spray painted because of how vibrant the colors were. I’m so glad I decided to make the trip to Cairns to see the reef- it was the highlight of my trip.

Sydney is an amazing city. It’s right on the water and Sydney Harbour is absolutely beautiful. My friend performed every night at the Opera House, so I got to see her show there which was really cool. I had four full days in Sydney so I had enough time to get a good feel of the city. The main places I visited in were Sydney Harbour and the Opera House, Circular Quay, The Rocks, Royal Botanical Gardens, Bondi Beach, Icebergs at Bondi, Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk, Manly Beach, Shelly Beach, and Balmoral Beach. I was recommended to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb, but didn’t get the chance to do it. There is so much to do and see, and the beaches around Sydney are all beautiful. I didn’t have time to see them all but I hit the main ones. Bondi Beach and Icebergs is obviously a must.

Check out my video and my picture highlights of my trip. Hope you like!

BALI, INDONESIA | FIRST STOP: UBUD

I am breaking up my Bali posts because there is just so much to write about! I am going to write a post for each resort I stayed at in Bali along with all the activities I did at each. I’m also going to share some information about Ubud in this post. My first stop in Bali was the Ritz Carlton Mandapa Reserve.

UBUD

I highly recommend visiting the town of Ubud. It’s an hour and a half drive from the international airport of Denpasar. Ubud is traditional Bali- you can really feel the authentic Balinese culture. It’s in the uplands of Bali and surrounded by rainforest, rice terraces, Hindu temples and shrines- Bali’s most iconic landscapes. Ubud is also known for the center of Balinese crafts and dance. It feels very far removed from the hustle and bustle of the busy town of Kuta and Bali’s beach party scene in Seminyak. It is the ultimate place for serenity and relaxation, and the perfect setting to practice yoga and mediation. Also, if you are interested in visiting a spiritual healer (similar to Ketut in the movie Eat, Pray, Love), Ubud is the place for it. And last but not least, you can’t leave Ubud without visiting the iconic rice terraces. A Must!

Foodie tip in Ubud: Visit Naughty Nuri’s for local street meat in Ubud- I had the best pork spare ribs I’ve ever had in my life!

RITZ CARLTON MANDAPA RESERVE

From the moment I walked in until the moment I checked out, I was completely in awe by the beauty of this place. The entrance to the hotel was like a magical kingdom high up in the mist of the clouds. It overlooked beautiful green terrain of pristine rice terraces, luxury villas and the Ayung River. After a warm welcome from the resort staff, I was brought to my one bedroom river front villa. It had a private pool on top of the Ayung River, a separate living room area next to the pool with river views, a beautiful spacious bedroom and bathroom and an indoor/outdoor shower. It was one of the most incredible villas I’d ever stayed in, and from that moment on I pretty much died and went to heaven for the next two days. I started my day with yoga every morning in the indoor/outdoor studio located on the 2nd floor of the spa. The studio opened up to the rainforest and all I could hear was birds chirping and the sound of the river. Yoga was the very first thing I did on my first morning spent in Bali, and it was one of those surreal “pinch me” moments that took my breath away. It was a feeling I’ll remember forever.

I spent two relaxing days taking in the beauty of the resort and relaxing in my villa. There are beautiful rice terraces at the reserve, and I learned how to rice plant and all about the process of rice planting which was pretty cool. I enjoyed traditional Balinese cuisine from the amazing restaurants on property, and the breakfast each morning was out of this world.

The Ritz Mandapa is an amazing choice for a honeymoon destination. It really felt romantic and magical (even though I was traveling with a best girl friend of mine). My friend kept saying she was going to come back on her honeymoon.

The pictures don’t even do this place justice, but below are the rest of the pictures from my experience at The Ritz Carlton Mandapa Reserve. If you plan to visit or make reservations, make sure to mention my name 🙂

WHISTLER, CANADA

I went to go visit one of my best friends Caity Lotz who moved to Vancouver from Los Angeles for a job. We went on a road trip to Whistler for a night and a day to hit the slopes! I grew up skiing with my family, and hadn’t skied in a few years so was really excited. (And I had also never been to Whistler before-it was so beautiful!). We stayed at the Fairmont in Whistler which was located right at the bottom of the slopes so in the morning all we had to do was rent our gear and walk to the mountain. After spending the night, we spent a full day of boarding and skiing and drove back to Vancouver that night. It was a great weekend getaway. Check out my Whistler video below!
